  • FIX: The “Clear All” button (“X” in a circle) in the search bar is working consistently again on mobile and tablet.

  • FIX: Breadcrumbs (the book, chapter, and page information in the top gray bar of the Books Panel) now display correctly when reading in Concord or navigating to a specific chapter from the Table of Contents in the Study Tools Panel.

  • FIX: Punctuation and parts of letters are no longer hidden when highlighted.

  • FIX: Citations which begin with a hyphenated word and wrap to the next line can once again be added to a list without issue.

  • FIX: The “Subscribe to Concord” page was updated to clarify your subscription options.

  • FIX: When clicking “Load More” the flow of text has been improved to remove unnecessary white space.

Release v5.12.1

Contains releases v5.9.4, v5.9.5, v5.9.6, v5.10, v5.10.1, v5.10.2, v5.11, v5.11.1, v5.12, and v5.12.1.

The v5.12.1 release contains the following updates:

  • NEW: Concord offers a number of search options including Stemming, Case Sensitive, Range Search, and Proximity Search. With this release, you should find using these options much friendlier, especially on mobile devices, by using the new Search Options box. You can now toggle on or off each option quickly, and type in the necessary search designations (book names, page ranges, number of paragraphs or verses). You can also get help for any of these search options by clicking the circled question mark.
Note: you can also use the previous syntax for these options, and it will automatically populate the search option fields.

  • FIX: Words in Mary Baker Eddy’s writings that are formatted with small-caps will now copy and paste with all capital letters, to better align with the printed books.

  • FIX: The new Apple iOS 13 update began automatically directing customers using Concord on an iPad to the desktop version of Concord, which requires a mouse. Because iPads utilize touch technology and the Concord desktop site was designed for mouse use, Concord was not working with Apple’s new default desktop mode. We have now implemented a fix where Concord can tell if you are using a tablet and, if so, directs you to the correct version of the program for use on a tablet.

  • NEW: Customers may now see their next subscription renewal date displayed on the Account Info page (when logged in, click on the email address in the top bar).

  • UPDATE: Navigate the books using the updated Table of Contents under the Books tab within Study Tools. Find your way quickly and easily to books of the Bible, as well as specific chapters, articles, and subsections of Mary Baker Eddy’s writings. Some broken links have been fixed such as Miscellaneous Writings Preface and Dedication page have been added.

  • FIX: Converting multiple Legacy Notebooks to lists would hang after 1 or 2 conversions. Converting a large group can now be done all at one time.

  • NEW: Many of the hymns from the 2017 Christian Science Hymnal include additional details related to the composer, the words, or the tune of the hymn. This information is now searchable. For example, search for the word “German” and you will find 12 hymnal results.

  • UPDATE: The capitalization for the first lines of the Christian Science Hymnal index have been made consistent.

  • UPDATE: Untitled hymns and hymn tunes moved under “U” in Hymnal index.

  • UPDATE: Styling from Hymnal Table of Contents applied to the listings under the Indexes tab.

  • UPDATE: Missing and mistaken author and composer information updated within the Hymnal.

  • UPDATE: Styling updated for tune and composer information within the Hymnal.

  • UPDATE: Various styling improvements to the Hymnal.

  • FIX: Searching for hymns 602 and 603 now returns results.

  • FIX: Searching for an author’s name within the Hymnal (such as Eddy or Violet) now returns results.

  • FIX: Removed a duplicate title page from the Hymnal preface.

  • UPDATE: You can now use the tab button on your keyboard to navigate to the “Save” button after creating a new citation within a list.

  • UPDATE: Sorted Hymns in the “Untitled” section of the Hymnal index in ascending order.

  • UPDATE: Added Hymnal emblem to the Hymnal title page.

  • UPDATE: Concord’s Revision history will keep every change made to lists during the last 30 days. Looking back beyond 30 days, you will see only the final version of a list each day.

  • UPDATE: Various security improvements including updating the security certificates for Concord website.

  • UPDATE: Styling improvements: Added white space between a couple paragraphs and slightly modify specific text areas to better align with the printed books.

  • UPDATE: The url for Concord will now be /concord instead of /concord3.

  • UPDATE: Customize instructions depending on the status of an account. If a credit card is expired, customers will be directed to update their credit card. Similarly, if an account is cancelled, customers will be directed to the re-subscribe.

  • FIX: All the links for the Manual table of contents under the Books tab now work correctly.

  • FIX: Correct Miscellany table of contents formatting.

  • FIX: There were a few instances where text was overlapping when viewed on a mobile device.

  • FIX: A space was missing between two words in Science and Health when viewed in the Search Results.

  • FIX: Add missing letter to “etc.”

  • FIX: Subscriptions were not always cancelling when an account was deleted. Refunds were issued to the few customers who experienced this, and a fix was implemented to ensure subscriptions will be canceled for all accounts deleted in the future.

  • FIX: Gift renewals are now properly expiring when the gift period end (1-year after activation). Customers should also receive notifications about the expiration of the gifts.

  • FIX: IP blacklisting enabled for security purposes.

Release v5.9.3

Contains releases v5.9.0, v5.9.1, v5.9.2, and v5.9.3.

The v5.9.3 release contains the following updates:

  • NEW: You can now search for hymn titles, authors, composers, and tunes. A “T” (Tune), “A” (Author), or “C” (Composer), will appear next to search results that contain your search term and fall into one of these categories.

  • NEW: There are new index options for navigating the Hymnal – you can browse by Number, First Lines, Authors, Composers, and Tunes. These indexes enable you to explore the hymnal content in new ways. To find the indexes, click on the “Books” tab in the Study Tools panel. Then click on Hymnal, and choose a section to explore. See this video and help article for more information.

  • NEW: You can now easily view and select different hymn settings when searching for a hymn that has several tunes/arrangements. See this video and help article for more information.

  • NEW: You can now drag and drop any hymn setting from the Books Panel into a list. This is possible via the “View Alternate Settings” button in the Citation Builder and in the area below the hymn text in the Books Panel.

  • NEW: When hymn verses are highlighted in the Books panel, the Citation Builder now displays the tune name to the right.

  • FIX: When manually adding a hymn to a list (using the “Add Citation” button) you no longer need to include a verse. For example: you can now type Hymn 30 instead of Hymn 30:1.

  • FIX: When manually adding a hymn to a list (using the “Add Citation” button), Concord no longer changes the hymn number to the lowest-numbered version of that hymn, nor does it add verse numbers. For example: type Hymn. 32 into the citation field. The hymn is saved as Hymn. 32 (instead of automatically changing to Hymn. 30:1-5).

  • UPDATED: The display of text from the hymnal in Print Preview has been improved.

  • NEW: The hymnal prefaces from the pew editions of the 1932 and 2017 hymnals have been added to Concord, replacing the previous preface material.
NEW: Mrs. Eddy’s hymns are listed twice under the First Lines index. They are listed by the title of the poem and the first line of the hymn.

  • NEW: When searching the hymnal, you can use the range search directive [titles] to search for Mrs. Eddy’s hymns.

  • FIX: When using range search, you will now get search results even if your search range is outside the actual range of hymn numbers. For example: you can now search on shepherd [hy 400-700] and Concord will show results for hymns 400-603 even though there are no hymns above 603.

  • FIX: 2017 hymnal text is now indented and centered in the Books Panel similar to the 1932 hymnal text.

  • FIX: When you click on a hymnal verse in the Study Tools panel, the Books Panel will display as much of that entire hymn as is possible, reducing the amount you have to scroll.

  • FIX: If you highlight multiple hymns at one time, those hymns will now be separated by semi-colons in the citation builder.

  • UPDATE: You may now drag-n-drop a citation anywhere in the white space under the Lists panel, and the citation will be added to the bottom of the list.

  • FIX: You may now reference SH page 500 in a range search. See range search example for punctuation search.
