NEW: Select ALL citations! Using the checkboxes with the Shift key on your keyboard, you can now select all citations in a chapter, book, or across multiple books. On Desktop in the Study Tools and Lists panels, hold the ‘Shift’ key while selecting the first and last checkbox. You can then add the group of citations to a list; reorder the group of citations; move multiple lists into a folder; and more! Watch the help video to see this feature in action.

NEW: Manually sort your lists into a Custom Sort order! Within the Concord List Manager, you can now create a custom sort option. This will enable you to manually drag-n-drop your lists and folders into your custom order. This option is in addition to the default sort options: “Name” and “Most Recent.” Watch the help video to learn more.

NEW: Move multiple lists into a folder.

NEW: You can select all of the citations in your list using the new menu option.

NEW: Add a citation(s) from the Study Tools Panel or Read Panel into any list, even if it is not currently open, using the [ More Lists ] menu option.

UPDATE: The citation preview in your lists now mirrors the formatting in the Read Panel, correctly displaying italics and bold.

UPDATE: Program enhancements to improve troubleshooting.

FIX: When you click the last citation in a list, a list will automatically scroll to show the citation preview. 

FIX: Minor adjustments were made to the navigation and formatting of certain hymns.

FIX: When copy/pasting from the three-dot menu, the formatting is now the same as when you use the keyboard shortcuts.

FIX: Firefox scrolling and navigation issues resolved.

FIX: When dragging and dropping citations on mobile, the preview text is no longer displayed.

FIX: Open or close a 3-dot menu by clicking on the 3-dots.

Release v5.15

NEW: Select ‘Keep me logged in’ on Concord’s login screen to easily switch between devices when using Concord. If your session times out while you are away from your device, the program will automatically log you back in when you return. All users will need to check ‘Keep me logged in’ to activate this improved functionality (even if you have checked it in the past).

READING ROOMS and PUBLIC COMPUTERS

REMINDER: If you are accessing your Concord account from a Reading Room or other public computer, we recommend that you do not check the ‘Keep me logged in’ box since another user may be able to view your data. If you do access your account from a public computer, be sure to click ‘Log out’ or ‘Exit Guest Session’ before leaving the computer. 

Reading Rooms and other institutions are required to clearly post the privacy notice as stated in Concord’s Terms of Service: Public Access in Reading Rooms and other Institutions

NEW: Copy/paste a link to a specific passage on your mobile device. This link will take the recipient directly to that passage in Concord. 

UPDATE: If your Concord theme is set to Sunrise/Sunset, the program will change between Light and Dark Mode based on your geographic location.

UPDATE: Dates in Concord (Lists, Subscription, Opt-ins) are now determined by your geographic location.

UPDATE: Email verification and password reset emails now include a timestamp in the subject to distinguish the most recent email when trying to reset your password. Be sure to use the most recent one if you submit the reset request more than once.

FIX: Previous and Next buttons corrected to move forward or backward between each section of multi-part citations.

FIX: Epigraph attributions can now be cited along with the rest of the epigraph. 

FIX: Issue with highlighting long, multi-part citations fixed. 

FIX: When scrolling using the scrollbar in Firefox, the text no longer jumps several chapters.

FIX: The gift subscription renewal email now includes the correct link to send a new gift subscription, so your friends and family don’t go a day without access to Concord. 

Release v5.13

The v5.13 release contains the following updates:

NEW: Sunset/Sunrise theme is now implemented for all accounts. Concord recently added a dark mode option for improved readability at night. Your account will now automatically switch between light and dark mode in the morning and evening respectively. If you prefer using one theme, you can permanently select that theme by navigating to  ‘Settings’ → ‘Themes’. Watch a help video here.

NEW: Italics and small caps now appear in Concord’s display of the Bible text, search results, and Lists (aligning more with the print books). Pre-existing lists will not show italics unless the citations containing italic words are edited and re-saved.

NEW: Italic formatting is now retained when you copy/paste from Concord to commonly used programs, such as Word, Google Docs, Gmail, etc. This feature applies only when you are using Concord on a desktop or laptop computer. We are continuing to explore options to make this possible on mobile and tablet devices. 

NEW: Accounts that are inactive for 90 minutes will be logged out (in comparison to 60 minutes previously).

NEW: A pop-up window appears 5 minutes before a user’s session is about to expire asking them if they would like to extend the session. 

NEW: Book text now auto-loads as you scroll through the books. You no longer have to click the 'Load More’ button. 

NEW: You can now send someone a link to a specific citation by selecting 'Concord Link’ under 'Copy Selected’ and pasting the link into an email or text. When someone clicks on this link, it will take the visitor directly to that passage within Concord (as a user if they have an account, or as a guest, if they do not).

NEW: Lists can be deleted by right-clicking on the tab at the top of the list.

NEW: An 'Add Folder’ button is now available in the ‘Move to Folder’ pop-up box (accessible through the 3-dot menu in the Lists Manager or through the List Options Menu (3-horizontal lines) —> Edit List —> Folder option). 

UPDATE: In the ‘Move to Folder’ pop-up box, folders are organized by Most Recent or Name (depending on the setting you have chosen in the List Manager). All folders are found at the top of the pop-up box for easy access. Folders also move to the top of the Lists Manager when dragging and dropping a list.

UPDATE: The most recent date on the list folder is determined by the most recent list within the folder.

UPDATE: When editing a list with Print Preview open, changes will automatically appear in Print Preview, and the window will scroll to the element you changed. See a help video about printing and exporting Lists here.

UPDATE: In Print Preview, the 'Settings’ label is now 'Print Settings.’

UPDATE: When the Bible Lesson is imported into Concord from the Quarterly Digital Edition, the date range of that Bible Lesson appears under the Lesson Subject in Print Preview. (Under Print Settings → 'Date’ must be checked for the date to appear). 

UPDATE: In Concord Guest Access, the Welcome message is expanded by default.

UPDATE: Improvements to the dynamic table of contents ensure proper subheadings are included and clickable. 

UPDATE: Updates and improvements to breadcrumbs clarify where you are reading in the book. These are especially helpful on mobile. 

UPDATE: Searching text included in the images of the sample membership applications will now return results in the Manual of The Mother Church. The text in this image is not able to be added to a list.

FIX: Hymn 344 bug fixed and display of author names improved.

FIX: Soft hyphen display improvements were made for Android devices.   

FIX: iPhone’s should no longer zoom in after tapping the search box.

FIX: When highlighted, the closing salutation on Mis. 128 now brings up the correct citation. 

FIX: Capitalization of titles throughout Miscellany is now consistent. 

FIX: Italicized quotation marks unitalicized to align with the print book.

FIX: The marginal heading “Sense-dreams” is now searchable. 

FIX: When copying an entire list, text-only comments are no longer duplicated.

Release v5.12.11

The v5.12.11 release contains the following updates:

  • NEW: Print Preview will automatically update when you make changes to your list with Print Preview open. 

  • NEW: Comments within a list can now be collapsed and expanded like citations. 

  • NEW: Export as Text now includes List numbers when numbering is activated within a List.

  • NEW: A new pop-up window asks users to confirm that they want to delete all of their recent/favorite searches after hitting the “clear all” button (folder with X icon on top left of drawer).

  • UPDATE: The Recent and Favorites drawers now automatically close after clicking on a recent or favorite search. 

  • UPDATE: Improved process by which previous Concord customers can subscribe. 

  • UPDATE: On mobile devices, using the Next/Previous buttons to navigate through search results or citations in a List will simultaneously scroll through those citations in the Read Panel as well as in the Study Tools Panel or List. This brings the mobile experience into alignment with how the Next/Previous buttons work when using a desktop computer. 

  • UPDATE: A new customer message was added to the Concord subscription cancellation page for those affected by the current world situation. 

  • FIX: Hymns are no longer skipped when using the Next/Previous buttons in the Read Panel to navigate search results in The Christian Science Hymnal

  • FIX: Adjusting the font size in Print Preview now changes the font size of stand-alone comments in your list as well as the font size of citations and notes.

  • FIX: Poems will wrap correctly again in Print Preview. 

  • FIX: Minor Dark Mode adjustments were made to a few places within Concord that were still using “Light” colors. 

  • FIX: Save button remains consistently in the Import window.

  • FIX: The Annotation box within the Read Panel now consistently navigates to the correct citation in a list with many citations and annotations.

Release v5.12.9

The v5.12.9 release contains the following updates:

  • NEW: Dark Mode: Customers can now view Concord in 'Dark' mode. This feature allows ease of reading in low light situations. (Go to: Settings —> Themes —> Dark/Light; read the help article here.) 

  • NEW: Attribution Settings: You can now choose how to display the book/author that corresponds to a citation copied and pasted from Concord. Under Concord’s settings, the attribution choices are ‘Abbreviated’ (e.g. SH 277:24), or the new ‘Full’ option (e.g. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 277:24).   • PRINT UPDATES: 

    • Quick print: This new option allows you to print faster by bypassing Print Preview. Choose ‘Print’ under the List Options menu. The print dialogue box will now automatically open, making printing faster and easier.

    • New Layout: Margins and white space have been reduced in the print layout to increase readability and conserve paper.

    • Print Lists with or without your notes: Find this within Print Preview under Settings —> Options.

  • UPDATE: Add a new or existing list directly to a pre-existing folder using: List Options —> Edit List or double-clicking the List Title. You can also move a list from one folder to another.

  • UPDATE: When deleting a list, the confirmation screen now includes the name of the list. 

  • UPDATE: Now customers can turn on list numbering from the List Options menu. 

  • UPDATE: The ‘Previous’ and 'Next' buttons now take users through each section of a non-continuous citation, matching the functionality of the small black arrows within the Read Panel.

  • UPDATE: Add Citation and Add Text have been removed from List Options menu— users can use the buttons at the bottom of the list.

  • UPDATE: The wording, Copy to Clipboard has been changed to, Copy Selected within the 3 dot menus and right-click menu.

  • UPDATE: Import citations into Concord using your tablet or mobile devices.

  • FIX: When a citation has been selected and moved, or copied, to a new list, the citation remains selected.

  • FIX: Legacy notebooks can be converted to lists using the 3-horizontal line menu again.

  • FIX: Double tapping a list name to edit it on a mobile device will open the list editing options again. 

  • FIX: Range search now allows searching in multiple books again. 


Release v5.12.6

The v5.12.6 release contains the following updates:

  • NEW: Bookmark your favorite passages in Concord, or mark the page or chapter you left off reading in the Bible, Science and Health, or the Other Writings by Mary Baker Eddy. To add a ‘Bookmark’, the user can click the light gray Bookmark icon on the right-hand side of the gray header bar, turning the Bookmark icon blue. Bookmarks can be accessed, edited, and deleted from the ‘Bookmarks’ drawer at the bottom of the Study Tools Panel.  Click here to view the video tutorial on how to use this new feature or read our Bookmarks Help Center Article.

  • NEW: Passwords can now be changed from your Account Info page. When you are logged into Concord, click on your email address in the top gray bar. Then, click on the button in the lower left-hand corner of the “Account Info” window to update or reset your password. 

  • NEW: Autosave annotations and text boxes. This new feature automatically saves the information you enter into the annotation/text box within Lists. Your data will automatically be saved at the following times: right before your session times out; before you log out; when you switch from one list to another; and every 5 minutes.

  • NEW: Customers can specify the names of chapters in Mrs. Eddy’s writings (in addition to page ranges) in the second field of the Range Search feature. For example, you can now search for all the instances in which the word “praise” is used in the chapter on “Prayer” in Science and Health by typing “praise” into the search bar, “SH” into the first Range Search field, and “Prayer” into the second Range Search field. 

  • NEW: When a website address (such as www.christianscience.com) is typed into the annotation or text box, it will automatically be converted to a clickable link when the box is saved. 

  • UPDATE: When adding a link to a website within the annotation box in a list, customers can now customize the text associated with that link.

  • UPDATE: Updates have been made to the ‘breadcrumbs’ found in the gray bar at the top of the Read Panel so customers can more easily see which chapter, section, and page of the book they are reading.

  • FIX: When copying/pasting The Lord’s Prayer from Science and Health pp.16-17, the free-flowing option now maintains the line breaks between the line of prayer and its corresponding spiritual interpretation.

  • FIX: Links in the Manual’s Table of Contents now take customers to the correct page within the book.

  • UPDATE: When dragging a citation into an empty list, the background color of the list now better matches Concord’s color scheme.

  • UPDATE: The periodic notification about Concord’s use of cookies no longer obscures any of Concord’s features.

  • UPDATE: Formatting adjustments were made to add a missing space on page 126 of the Manual.  

  • UPDATE: Formatting issues related to both specific line breaks and 'Load More' transitions have been addressed.

  • UPDATE: Minor formatting adjustments have been made to continue aligning Concord’s appearance with that of the printed books.

  • FIX: The Load More button between the Preface and Chapter 1 of Science and Health caused the text to jump. The button now works consistently for users.

  • FIX: When sharing a list on an iPhone, the sender's email address is no longer listed as the recipient’s.

  • FIX: Concord's login screen on Safari now displays the green Guest Access box at the same height as the blue Login box.

  • FIX: Hymnal authors with an asterisk (*) after their name, now show up in Search results.

  • FIX: Copy/paste of a highlighted passage will not lose focus, even if the 3-dot menu of a different citation was recently selected. 

  • UPDATE: Range search will automatically deactivate if no information is entered into the Range Search fields. 

  • UPDATE: When a book abbreviation or chapter title is entered incorrectly in Range search, a pop-up window notes the invalid entry or misspelling.

  • UPDATE: Additional security updates were implemented for Concord.

  • FIX: If a customer replies to an auto-generated email (such as a password reset notification), the message now automatically forwards to customer service.

  • FIX: The citation on page 9 line 1 in Pulpit and Press can now be selected and cited properly.

  • FIX: On mobile devices, hymnal tune titles no longer overlap with the hymn number in the citation builder.

  • FIX: Hymn 354 can now be manually added to a List.

  • UPDATE: The password requirements listed in the registration process have been expanded to include example words and phrases that cannot be used as passwords. 

  • FIX: The status of a gift subscription is now easier to determine when viewing the “View Gift Status” option. A donor can also renew a gift from within the Gift Status page. 

  • UPDATE: Descriptions of Concord’s subscription options are now clearer. 

  • Added functionality to enable Concord to integrate with the Digital Edition of the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons. 

  • FIX: When a passage in the text is included in a list, the highlighter icon appears at the beginning of the sentence. When highlighting a sentence that includes this icon, the entire passage will now be properly selected. 

  • UPDATE: Bookmarks, Recents, and Favorites are all now clearly and consistently labeled across the top of their expandable “drawers”. 

  • UPDATE: Added functionality to allow the user to minimize all expanded lists of books and indexes in one click (click on the “Books” or “Indexes” tab).
