How to Search Your Lists

This help article teaches you how to search your lists for words, phrases, citations, annotations, and text boxes. You can also look up list names and open them directly from your search results.

  1. Click in the Search bar in the Study Tools Panel.

  1. Type in a word, phrase, citation, annotation, text box, or list name.

  1. Click on the magnifying glass icon to the right of the search bar or hit enter on your keyboard.

  2. Click on the “Search My Lists” button towards the bottom of the Study Tools Panel.

  1. You can see all of times your search term(s) appear in your lists.

  1. Click on “My Lists” to expand your results.

  1. Open a set of list results and you can see the citations from your list that contain your search term(s). You can click on a result to open it up in the Read Panel and click on the 3-dot menu to add it to a list.

  1. You can open up any list that appears in your list results by clicking on the list icon to the right of the list name.

  1. You can view your results in Table View by clicking on the change view icon.

  1. Table view shows you the date a citation, annotation, or text box was added to your list, the list name, and the citation or text box. You can sort by the most recent date the citation was added to your list or by the list’s name by clicking on the column headers.
