Arranging Citations in Book Order
This article will outline how you can a) arrange citations in your lists by Book Order indefinitely and b) how yo can do a one-time shuffle of your list to place them in Book Order. Concord’s Book Order sorts citation by book and chapter/page number (Bible → SH → Hymnal → Prose Works).
Arrange Citations by Book Order
You can use this feature to see the citations in your list automatically sort into Book Order. Your citations will remain in Book Order until you turn it off. Book Order places citations from the Bible, Mary Baker Eddy’s writings, and the Christian Science Hymnal in page order.
To turn on this list feature, first click on the three horizontal line menu (to the right of your list’s name).
Click “Edit List”.
To the right of “Arrange Citations by Book”, click on the drop down menu and select “On”.
Click “Done”.
You’ll receive a pop up message confirming your choice to arrange your citations in Book Order. Click “Re-sort my List”.
Notice how your citations are now in Book Order. Any citations you had to your list will be automatically sorted in Book Order.
To turn off Book Order or to make Book Order your permanent order, click on the three horizontal line menu (to the right of your list’s name) and select “Edit List”.
Click on the drop down menu to the right of “Arrange Citations by Book” and choose “Off”.
Click “Done”.
You’ll have the option to retain Book Order as your current order or to revert back to your previous order.
Sort Citations by Book Order
You can use this feature to quickly “shuffle” the citations in your list into Book Order.
Open to the list containing the citations you would like to place in Book Order.
Click on the three horizontal line menu (to the right of your list’s name).
Select “Sort List By Book”.
You’ll receive a pop up message confirming your choice to arrange your citations in Book Order.
Click “Re-sort My List”
Your list is now in Book Order and you can rearrange it however you’d like (Note: You can use Revision History to sort citations in a previous order).
